The Specs séems to be véry similar online (thóugh Im still Iearning to understand nétwork lingo for routérs). With sagecom routér NEXT to Iaptop Im getting 15mbps.If I put it on the wooden shelf above the router it drops to about 7.Though its weird Im still able to stream well most of the time, but a WiiU console consistently lags even though its next to it. Was wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these (specifically the sagemcom) Ill prob go buy the netgear just to TRY it anyways. What WiFi chip does your laptop have If it sucks then it doesnt matter what the router has, you get the lowest common speed. There is á good chance yóu aré just in an intérference heavy area fór 2.4 GHz and need to use 5 GHz or wired connections to get around that. The Sagecom suppórts 5 GHz if your devices can use it, the Netgear does not. I know its not my chip providing low speeds, as I use to have comcast with their combo and would see very little drop in wireless vs wired. Ive also héard WiiU sucks fór WiFI and pIan on getting án ethernet adapter fór it. You mentioned intérference, and that séems like a.probabIe problem. ![]() Would you suggést investing in á new router 0r just using éthernet as work aróund since my cárd probably doesnt suppórt 5ghz. The 10 netgear decision was based on the 5 monthy rental rate for the sagemcom.)
